What a man!

This time, I choose a man to begin my post. You can listen to this song while you are reading my blog. But, don’t be scared by his voice, especially the last part of the song.  I believe he is familiar to everyone. That’s right! He is Vitas, a russian mysterious singer. What makes him so different is his high-pitched voice. I remember when I was a junior high school student, I heard his performance. I didn’t know he is a russian at that time, and I couldn’t imagine that I would introduce him to someone else five years later.

I remember a teacher in our department once said, “ When your Russian is getting better, you will find out that your English will be relatively getting worse. So, please work harder on your English during your college years.” At first, I didn’t take it seriously. Because we have studied English for more than ten years. How bad would we become? Now, I am so frightened when I can’t spell “ department” . NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Night Of Slavics

( The picture is my class, but the activity is tomorrow! )

I can’t believe there are only one month and few days left for this semester.  The night of Slavics is an improtent event for my department. Everyone worked very hard just want everything for that night will be well prepared. Each class will present a Russian drama. Freshmen like us usually perform comedy. Funny thing is, our characters are not humen. We are a lot of utensils!

Actually, I’m very excited now. I love spotlight. I love to perform. I love the feeling that everyone is working hard together for the same reason. My parents will show up, too. This makes me a little bit more nervous. Though I am not the main role of the drama and I don’t have many lines, I still tresure every moment while we are performing on stage. Tomorrow night will wonderful definitely!

December

Welcome to December! I love December though it is cold. But nothing is better than drinking a cup of hot chocolate at such a cold winter. I think December means that something is going to come to an end, but it also means that something new will be around the corner!

Anyway, I believe I will be busier and busier. There are going to be more reports, more exams and more events. Good thing is, my learning of Russian is getting better and better! Although I am still not as good as my classmates, I am satisfied with my progress. Now, I have more confidence than before, and it gave me power to study harder. I am eager to become better!

After two weeks, there are going to have an important event. It is a Russian drama competition. Many important people will show up. Each class will represent a drama. Though my class’ progress seems a little bit slow, I believe that everyone in my class will do their best to surprise EVERYBODY! Let’s wait and see!

Here is a video that I want to share with you. It’s cool and fun!

Special Fate

This Monday, my department held a speech. The lecturer of speech is a Czech(捷克人), and he is working in Charles University(查理士大學) at Prague(布拉格). It was very intriguing because other people probably would not have a chance to meet a Czech! But what made me frustrated was that I couldn’t understand what he was talking about sometimes. Though he spoke English slowly, I still couldn’t perfectly get his point. The speech was mainly about teaching us how to distinguish Czech from Russian and introducing Charles University.

After the speech, my classmate and I took a picture with him. Although I didn’t talk to him at all during whole speech, I think I will still remember him for a long time. Who knows, maybe I will meet him again in his country! What we need to treasure is the fate that between anyone and us. Because we will never know what will happen in the future!

Bao-Zhong TEA Festival!

Hey guys! I think you all know that this Saturday our university will have a special festival called Bao-Zhong TEA Festival. Through the whole preparation, I met many new friends in my department but different class. I really enjoy doing something with classmate and everyone is wholehearted. I can enter this department which everyone is easy to get alone with. How lucky I am!
These days I kept thinking. I found that I do not like to make a choice. Because when you make a choice, everything would change. I am too afraid to choose!
University life is busier than I thought. Sometimes I hope that I can have 30 hours a day! And there are so many things you have to decide by yourself. Study, family, activities, relationships and enough sleeping are all important. But we can’t have them all! I think I have to learn how to manage my time perfectly.

Turning Point

I have learned Russian for one month. It’s time to have a test! So, our class began to have a test every week. Speaking of my grade, I have to say, I really need to study harder. (The picture is my correction.) And some of my classmate and I had a lunch with our teacher last Friday. We shared our own motivations with each other. Unsurprisingly, people who got good grade are all very interesting in Russian and willing to spend more time studying.

After that meal, I realized that I have to love Russian wholeheartedly instead of “just being interesting in learning new language.” Fortunately, I would be perfectly satisfied when I know more and more Russian vocabulary now. I can see my wonderful future around the corner!

The very beginning

Even now, I still remember the very first class taught by Russian teacher. Everybody didn’t know each other at that time. So, when Russian teacher kept speaking Russian which we obviously couldn’t understand, everyone did nothing but making a confounded face. To be honest, that was a quiet funny scene. Soon, she wanted to give us our own Russian name, but her approach was weird. She just looked at you like she can look into your soul, and your name popped up suddenly! My Russian name is Елена. I spent couple of days to make sure how to spell it. = = This is my first step in learning Russian. I can’t wait to tell you more in next time! See you <3<3<3
